ARMS
Solomon Garçon
ARMS was Solomon Garçon's first institutional exhibition in the UK, at Studio Voltaire in London. The major installation brought together sound, sculpture and performance.
Spike TM produced the fabricated elements: a field of miniaturised 3D-printed chairs arranged across the gallery floor. The run called for consistency across many identical parts, each printed, cleaned and finished so the pieces read as one considered whole, from fabrication through to install.
An arrangement of miniaturised chairs stand in as proxies for missing or potential spectators, and reverb simulation techniques explore the ‘territorial’.
